What is captured
- Every incoming email, read and classified: urgent, scheduling, promotional, done
- Threads that need a decision on top, each already understood
- Promises and open questions from the thread, pulled into your daily brief
What is drafted
- One reply per thread, in your voice, anchored in the real history
- Tone per contact: formal or familiar, German or English automatically
- Follow-ups for threads that went quiet
What never happens without you
- No email leaves your account without your approval
- Approval writes to your Gmail drafts, it does not send
- A hard stop in code, even when the assistant is told to send
Permissions
- Read mailbox and calendar through Nylas (broker in the EU, Ireland, see the register)
- Create drafts in your Gmail account
- No sending
- OAuth 2.0, we never see your password; disconnecting ends access at once
Frequently asked questions
Does Random Assistant send email on my behalf?
No. Every reply lands as a draft in your Gmail. You review, edit and send yourself. That is not a setting, it is a stop in the code.
Which permissions does the integration need?
Read the inbox, create drafts, read the calendar. The connection uses OAuth; we never see your password.
Where is my email processed?
Database and files sit in the EU (Hetzner, Germany). The mailbox connection is brokered by Nylas in the EU (Ireland). Which AI provider runs where is in the sub-processor register.
Does the assistant write in German?
Yes. It replies in the language of the thread, German or English, and matches the tone per contact.
What happens to newsletters and promotions?
They are recognised and sorted down. You see first what needs a reply.
Can I disconnect again?
Any time, in Settings. Access ends at once and the OAuth grant is revoked.
